Russian born Irinia Lorin was educated in China. After immigrating to the US, she worked at Paramount Studio with Miss Edith Head. Later, at a costume house in New York, she worked with Salvador Dali as well as other well-known artists of the time. She opened her own studio in California in the mid-1950s.
